About KGCCI (AHK Korea)
AHK Korea - Member of the world-wide German Chamber Network
At 130 locations in 90 countries around the world, the members of German Chamber Network (AHK, short for Auslandshandelskammer in German) offer their experience, connections and services to German and foreign companies. AHKs are located in all countries which are of special interest for German companies.
AHKs are closely connected to the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) in Germany. Together, they support German companies with building up and extending their business relations to foreign countries. The umbrella organization of the IHKs is the German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), which also coordinates and supports the AHKs. The AHKs are supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag.

Your first contact in Korea
The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) is your first contact in Korea. The chamber promotes economic relations between Germany and Korea since its foundation in 1981. With the steady rise in bilateral trade to over 20 bil. USD and German investments of more than 10 bil. USD in Korea, the activities of KGCCI and the demand for its professional services have increased accordingly. This is reflected by the growing membership of actually more than 500 and a full-time staff of 20 – all bilingual - professionals.
Germany is Korea's sixth most important trade partner. Around 40% of all EU exports to Korea come from Germany. The EU-Korea FTA, which is effective since July 2011, is thus especially beneficial for German companies and will further increase business opportunities in Korea.
