North Korea: End of political Ice Age and opportunities for businesses on the horizon?

NK experts sharing some insights.

A joint event by the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI), Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) and the Institute of Far Eastern Studies (IFES) - May 24, 2018

The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) in cooperation with Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) and the Institute of Far Eastern Studies (IFES), kindly invite you to an event focusing on the recent inter-Korean rapprochement and the impact this could have for businesses in Korea.

While the highly anticipated US-North Korean Summit still has to take place and a complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization is on top of the agenda, strategically put ahead of business development, there seems to be a lot of excitement in Korea about the prospects of a future business development in North Korea. Therefore, at this event, we want to take a look at the current status of the economy in North Korea, get a fresh insight from our experts who just travelled to North Korea and also take a closer look at the sanctions imposed onto North Korea. A panel discussion following the inputs will bring these different perspectives together and give opportunity to ask additional questions.
