Exclusive insight into the economic development globally and in Korea

The Economic Outlook 2018 will give you insights into the economic development and trends for the year 2018.

In Part 1, Weert Börner, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy, and Alexander Hirschle, Representative Correspondent at Germany Trade and Invest, will report on current developments in German-Korean bilateral relations and the macroeconomic outlook for Korea as well as the outlook for major industries in Korea respectively.

In Part 2, an expert panel, moderated by Dr. Florian Kohlbacher, with the Economist Corporate Network, North Asia, will discuss “The Future of Work in Korea”.

Korea has been a high labor cost country for quite a while and policies under the new government as well as workers’ expectations are driving this development further.

This brings up questions, how companies in Korea can cope with this development and if Korea can remain a good place for investors in the long run.

Company representatives and other experts will discuss these and other questions.
