The Economic Outlook gives you exclusive insight into the economic development globally and in Korea. In Korea, the new government of President Moon Jae-In has defined its political and economic agenda which brings many new impulses, for example in the energy sector or for the labor market. Therefore it is important to update yourselves on developments and to see what this could mean for your industry and company. We have invited several knowledgeable speakers and industry specialists for this occasion.


Part 1: Outlook on the macro level

- Mr. Weert Börner, Deputy Head of Mission, German Embassy Seoul, on current developments in German-Korean bilateral relations

- Dr. Jörg Krämer, Chief Economist, Commerzbank AG , on current global economic developments

- Mr. Alexander Hirschle, Director Korea at Germany Trade and Invest, on the economic outlook for Korea and its major industries.


Part 2: Outlook on the business level

- A panel with industry experts will discuss perspectives for the Korean economy and their respective industries under the new government:
