Kim Sang-kyung, President of the Korea International Finance Institute and a core mentor of the Women in Korea (WIR) program by the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI), recently shared her insights on women’s empowerment and leadership in an interview with The Economist.
She emphasized the urgent need for policy and institutional reforms to dismantle the “glass wall” in the financial industry. The UK Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter and various leadership development programs were highlighted as exemplary initiatives for advancing women into leadership positions.
