*Total Duration: 36 months (not including the 18-month mandatory military service)

On-site Curriculum

The on-site curriculum of the Ausbildung program is based on the concept of the "Full Circle of Learning." Trainees complete their practical training (70%, 24 months) at the company under the guidance of in-house trainers who have completed a certified trainer qualification. The theoretical training (30%, 12 months) takes place at a partner college, supervised by the college’s academic staff.

In all workshops, trainees work together with their trainers following a six-step process:

  1. Research
  2. Planning
  3. Decision-making
  4. Execution
  5. Review
  6. Evaluation

After completing their tasks, the relevant outcomes are documented in the “Record Book” on the Ausbildung online platform.

“I used to think I was walking a really long road, but looking back, it wasn’t that big of a deal. By taking it one step at a time, and putting in the effort, those steps will eventually turn into ten — and I think that is how I was able to achieve satisfying results.”

College Curriculum

Partner colleges operate dedicated classes within their automotive engineering departments for Ausbildung trainees (training occupation: general repair), offering high-quality theoretical education combined with hands-on training adapted to the German curriculum.

Unlike traditional curricula that focus on individual subjects, the Ausbildung approach emphasizes practical, task-based learning. In this model, not only core technical subjects but also courses such as politics, economics, and social studies make up 1/3 of the overall curriculum. This ensures that trainees develop the essential skills needed to fulfill their roles as active members of society.
