At the recently co-hosted 7th Korea–Germany Energy Day by KGCCI, Concetta Behler, Head of Strategy at the German transmission system operator Amprion GmbH, explained in an interview with Money Today the strain on the power grid caused by the concentration of data centers and introduced Germany’s policy direction to address these challenges.
She especially emphasized the importance of transmission infrastructure that delivers renewable energy generated in the north to major industrial regions in the south. She explained that achieving this requires more efficient grid-connection rules and a balanced combination of different technologies.
