Ana-Maria Boie, President of Boehringer Ingelheim Korea—a member company of the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI)—highlighted the company's 50th anniversary achievements and future vision in a recent interview with Hankyung ESG. Emphasizing "People, Innovation, and Sustainability" as her core leadership philosophy, she expressed her commitment to driving ESG management, delivering innovative treatments, and advancing the local healthcare ecosystem.

 

By reinvesting 22.9% of its net sales into R&D, Boehringer Ingelheim Korea is expanding open innovation through a dedicated local BD&L team. Grounded in its Sustainable Development for Generations (SD4G) framework, the company actively conducts CSR initiatives such as stroke care support, strengthens environmental stewardship, and fosters an exemplary corporate culture certified as a 'Family-Friendly Company' and a 'Top Employer'.

 

President Boie identified securing new drug approvals and reimbursement as key priorities, emphasizing the importance of deeper collaboration with Korean society.
