Thomas Horn, CEO and Managing Director of Saxony Trade & Invest, recently shared his views on the investment potential of Korean semiconductor companies in Germany in an interview with The Korea Times, during the visit of a business delegation from Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt hosted by the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI).
He emphasized that global semiconductor investment is not a zero-sum game, noting that companies are increasingly diversifying production locations to strengthen supply chain resilience. Highlighting Saxony’s strengths in power semiconductors as well as chips for industrial and automotive applications, he underscored the region’s continued growth potential driven by long-term trends such as electrification and digitalization.
The interview reflects Saxony’s strategic direction in expanding semiconductor and advanced technology cooperation between Korea and Germany.
