The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) has been promoting economic relations between Germany and Korea since its foundation in 1981. With around 500 members from various industries, KGCCI is the second-largest bilateral Chamber in Korea. The full-time staff of 28 bilingual professionals is engaged in a variety of dynamic projects bridging Korea and Germany.

KGCCI serves as a membership organization and voice for the German-Korean business community, while also acting as a service provider and trade promoter through its subsidiary KGCCI DE international. Open Position: Administrative Intern

Category: Fixed Term (6-month contract, extension possible pending performance review)

Role and Main Responsibilities

  • Support office management & general administration, incl. clerical and front desk duties. 
  • Support office maintenance (e.g., supplies, service providers, business/personnel contacts).  
  • Coordinate meetings and travel for President & CEO.  
  • Support President & CEO and generally support staff with discharge of administrative duties. 
  • Assist with creation & updates of KGCCI presentations, spreadsheets, and various documents.  
  • Support Event team with event organization and administration.  
  • Report to Event Senior Manager / Executive Assistant.  

Requirements

  • Languages: Korean (native), English (business proficient), German (desirable but not required).
  • Relevant experience for the position desirable but not required.
  • Minimum college degree, or college student available for full-time work (e.g., on leave).
  • Good administrative skills, ease with MS 365, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
  • Good organizational, communication (verbal, written), and interpersonal skills.

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a pro-active, creative, and motivated PR and Communications Assistant Manager (1-year contract). The Assistant Manager will:

  • Report to the Senior PR & Communications Manager;
  • Carry out media monitoring and update media coverage on KGCCI;
  • Update media contact list for press release distribution;
  • Support interviews, PR Circle, PR activities and events;
  • Assist in crafting press releases, KORUM magazine, CSR Report, and other publications;
  • Other duties as required by the Senior PR & Communications Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree related to PR, communications, or journalism (preferred)
  • Languages: Korean (native), English (above average), German (desirable but not required)
  • Confident communication skills (verbal and written)

Job Description

  1. Responsible for data entry from all reporting sources in the Local Affiliate Module (LAM) of the Global Safety Database (Argus) where applicable, as well as perform quality control (QC) of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), entered in LAM in accordance with PV LAM QC process.
  2. Liaises with the Local Quality Representative (LQR) in relation to AE reports associated with Product Technical Complaint (PTC) and aligns on actions.
  3. Responsible for case receipt and transfer to Argus where applicable. Identifies cases where missing or unclear information is provided and performs clarification as needed with reporter.
  4. Performs follow-up activities of ICSRs in a timely manner.
  5. Responsible for reconciliation of cases with internal functions and external partners.
  6. Performs the submission of the ICSRs to HA in accordance with the national regulations.
  7. Monitoring of local PV regulation and QSD management and maintenance of the local PSMF (Pharmacovigilance System Master File).
  8. Assists with local PV CAPA management activities. The PVO is also expected to overview PV quality of various programs and projects initiated by internal stakeholders.
  9. Contributes to audits, inspections, and contract management.
  10. Is involved in the preparation of the PV training given to the local organization (schedule, training material, organization). When indicated by the PVCH, the PVO can completely take over the PV training.
  11. Conducts the local literature search for AEs as well as the routine testing of PV systems.
  12. Contributes to the handling and generation of aggregate reports and SUSAR/line listings reporting to National Competent Authority (NCA), relevant ethics committees and investigators in the country, where applicable.
  13. Participates in local safety issue management activities as requested by the PVCH.
  14. The PVO can be delegated by the PVCH to be involved in Risk Management Plan activities, which may involve developing and implementing additional local risk minimization measures, with other stakeholders, where applicable.
  15. The PVO supports the PVCH in the provision of safety input into clinical, medical and commercial studies and projects.

As my bachelor's studies are coming to an end, I am looking to complete my mandatory internship semester at a company that offers me valuable insights into a professional working environment and that I can fully commit myself to. I am especially interested to work in the field of either trade or logistics/supply chain management. I have spent one study semester in Seoul last year already and I am currently completing my final study semester at Konkuk University. I am very ambitious, motivated and interested to live and work in Korea for at least a few years, because not only do I feel comfortable living in Korea and spending my time to get to know its culture and people further, but I am also interested in this country in terms of its future-oriented thinking and wanting to be innovative.
I am available to work from January 2024.
