Ausbildung

Since 2017, the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) has been working together with German automotive companies to introduce and establish the German vocational training system in Korea. The aim of this initiative is to address the growing shortage of skilled workers in automotive workshops and to provide young people with practical, high-quality vocational training. Through close cooperation with partner companies and educational institutions, the program creates sustainable career opportunities in the Korean labor market while also enhancing the international competitiveness of German automotive brands in Korea.

Ausbildung in Korea

The Ausbildung system in Korea is based on a dual 36-month program combining practical training at a company with theoretical education at colleges. Upon successful completion, trainees receive a certificate from The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI), a brand-specific technician certification, and a bachelor's degree. In addition, there is the possibility of permanent employment with the respective partner companies.

Train the Trainer

The “Train the Trainer” Program is a standardized training program based on The Instructor Aptitude Regulations (AEVO), designed to prepare future trainers both professionally and pedagogically for their role. In Korea, KGCCI's TtT program consists of two weeks of training and two exam days, equipping participants with essential didactic and organizational skills. Qualified trainers play a key role in the success of vocational training and contribute significantly to securing the future of their companies.

Berufsbildung

The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) offers a practical training opportunity for university graduates through its “Berufsbildung” program, aimed at preparing them for entering the workforce.
