Ausbildung in Korea

Ausbildung(German vocational training system), implemented in Korea, is operated as a total of 36-month program consisting of on-site practical training (OJT; 24 months) and theoretical education at colleges (OFF-JT; 12 months, 3 semesters). Trainees work as legal workers after signing training employment contract, and at the same time receive on-site training from qualified Ausbildung trainers.

In the meantime, participating colleges operate a separate class for Ausbildung trainees within each automotive department to provide high-quality theoretical education with an action-oriented education course tailored to the German curriculum. The theoretical education consists of 2/3 of the theory in the major field and 1/3 of the social studies in the fields of politics, economy, and sociology.

In the case of male trainees, through an agreement with the Military Manpower Administration of Korea, we support enlistment as a vehicle maintenance specialist in the second year of the program (subject to change depending on physical examination results, etc.).
*The 18-month military service period is not included in the 36-month program period.

Upon completion of Ausbildung, trainees receive Ausbildung certificate issued by the German Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and the KGCCI, and internal technician certification from each brand (as of 2023, Daimler Trucks Korea, MAN Truck & Bus Korea, Mercedes-Benz Korea, BMW Group Korea will award upon the result of final assessment) and a bachelor's degree from college. In addition, each dealer provides an opportunity to work continuously, considering the result of Ausbildung assessments and trainees work attitude.
