Corporate Social Responsibility
Around 500 German companies in Korea are not only stable and engaged employers of about 100,000 employees in Korea, but have established scholarship programs, supported underprivileged groups, initiated charity programs and much more to take responsibility as an integral part of the Korean society.
In order to make these endeavors more transparent, KGCCI has been publishing the CSR Report of German companies in Korea since 2015. This report features examples of CSR activities of German companies in Korea and the manifold ways they engage with the Korean society.
This report is being publicly promoted and provided to Korean media outlets and important stakeholders in the CSR field (government agencies, National Assembly Members, etc.).

CSR Ambassador
On April 18, 2019, KGCCI was appointed CSR Ambassador at the ‘2019 CEO Pledging Ceremony’ of the B.E.S.T (Business Ethics is the Source of Top Performance) Forum organized by the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies (IPS) at the Ahn Junggeun Memorial Museum. About 100 entrepreneurs and executives of enterprises and organizations operating in Korea were assembled to declare their commitment to promote ethical and sustainable business practices across the society. In addition to the annual release of its CSR Report and the CSR Circle activity, KGCCI held partner events with Transparency International Korea or Siemens’ Fair Player Club to support CSR work in German companies in Korea.
