[FORUM] Empathy, resilience and community building are key to women's leadership
On June 5th, Dr. Martin Henkelmann, President & CEO of KGCCI, and Kim Sang-kyung, WIR Core Mentor and Chairperson of the Korea Network of Women in Finance, participated as panelists in the second session of the Korea Times Forum "Toward diversity, inclusiveness and equality" held at the Grand Hall of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul.
The discussion, moderated by Ha Yung-ku, Chairman of Blackstone Advisors Korea, focused on strengthening female leadership and empowering women in the corporate environment. Kim Sang-kyung emphasized that increasing diversity in the financial industry is not only a moral obligation but also a fundamental business practice. She highlighted that gender diversity reduces risks and provides tangible benefits. Martin Henkelmann explained that diverse decision-making bodies generate more innovation and ideas, enabling effective problem-solving.
