Korea Energy Agency successfully holds ‘KOR-EUR Renewable Energy Online Business Meetings 2021’

(Seoul, December 7, 2021) The “KOR-EUR Renewable Energy Online Business Meetings 2021” was successfully held online for two days from November 30 to December 1, 2021.

 

 

The event was organized by Korea Energy Agency (KEA), a policy implementing organization under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Korea (MOTIE), and hosted by the Korea New and Renewable Energy Association (KNREA). The online event was held to support promising Korean renewable energy companies having difficulties increasing their export volume due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

 

A total of 20 buyers from eight countries, including Germany, France, England, Spain, etc., took part in this year’s event, along with eight prominent Korean renewable energy companies. There were a total of 49 meetings, and orders reaching USD 9.34 million (approximately KRW 11 billion) were made.

 

The participating companies from Korea include BIPV R&D company DNF, lead-acid battery regenerator manufacturer Repowertek, new and renewable energy installation and construction company Seorak Enertec, building-integrated photovoltaic system company Sejong International, ESS company INCELL, Small wind and geothermal energy company KOGY, streetlights and solar power generation system company Haneolnuri, and new and renewable energy project development company BS Energy Solutions.

 

The Korea Energy Agency’s Global Project Division Director General Woo Young Man said, “We are proud to say that the ‘KOR-EUR Renewable Energy Online Business Meetings 2021’ was held in success. Through this event, we were able to provide opportunities for promising Korean renewable energy companies to introduce their products to European buyers and help them enter the overseas market, which had been very difficult due to COVID-19.”

 

The Korea Energy Agency implements policies for promoting the use of renewable energy and improving energy efficiency. The organization has held renewable energy business meetings every year since 2011 to support the overseas business expansion of Korean renewable energy companies.
